Foot sensing in toddlers’ class

Toddlers love to explore with their body and try their senses.

SAM_4961

It’s time in class to explore by using our feet. Sο, we take our shoes off, by ourselves, though we are still two y.o., and the trip begins….

SAM_4975

We walk barefoot on cloth, on sand and on the wooden floor…

SAM_4963

Eventually, we step on paint and left our footprint on paper.

Everyone loves it!

Sensory play with jelly

Slide1

Today in babies’ class we made jelly – but instead of eating, we played with it!

Slide2

Babies first look, then smell,  touch and finally mix it…

Slide3

Eventually, they become experts into mixing colors, without even knowing.

Slide4

It’s just play for them!

Exploring space

When you are 4 y.o. you ask questions, all the time. Never ending, unlimited questions .

20150928-0009

Questions like these lead us to look for answers about space.

20151005-0019

Today, our children experiment space by creating paper planets. Tomorrow, they may go visit them!

20151005-0028

There must be always a way!

20151001-0006

After all, astronomy is a science – and we never say never to science!!!

Here comes the first smile

September. First days in school for many toddlers. First goodbye to mom….

SAM_4783

I notice colors impress children and make them forget their anxiety.

SAM_4777

A white paper and temperas. Curiosity.

SAM_4778

Choosing and mixing colors. Experimentation. First with brush. Second with fingers. At the end, whole hand is full of color.

SAM_4787

Her comes the first smile.

SAM_4776

Next day, the children come to me and ask for colors….

The healing water!

First days in school are always difficult, especially if you are a baby!

Slide3I suggest a small tip on how to help babies relax when they are stressed.

Slide5Use water. Just water. Or, water with small rocks, sand, plastic balls, toy ducks and anything else you can imagine.

Slide4When babies play with water, they relax and release all their stress.

Slide1I call it: «THE HEALLING WATER!»

Babies paint with colored ice cubes

Babies (1-2 y.o.) discover the  world through their senses.

IMGP1792

In our school, an activity they love doing is producing colored ice cubes.

IMGP1794

Then, kids use those ice cubes to paint, while melting.

Kindergarten kids set up their class

In our school children rights are much respected!

So, teachers do not arrange class for elder kids – children do! They come first day in school to find out a mess, waiting for them to sort it out…
